The American Red Cross Greater Phoenix Chapter has opened a Shelter at the Lee Kornegay School (Miami, AZ) to support those evacuated from the Woodbury Fire burning between Apache Junction and Roosevelt Lake. The decision to open the shelter was made by Emergency Managers that have been monitoring the fire situation. The Shelter will be open 24 hours a day and will remain open to everyone affected as long as evacuations are in place.
The Lee Kornegay Intermediate School is located at 4739 Ragus Rd., Miami, AZ 85539
The Red Cross would like to remind everyone to download the Red Cross Emergency app on their personal devices. The Emergency app provides real-time and preparedness information, what to do during a wildfire. The public can also identify open Red Cross Shelters by accessing www.redcross.org/shelter.
