The Coconino County Board of Supervisors will be holding an emergency Tinder Fire recovery and re-entry planning meeting today at 3:30 p.m. in the Board Chambers at 219 E. Cherry Ave. Flagstaff, Ariz.
The Board is discussing the logistics, communications and plans to ensure evacuated residents of Blue Ridge neighborhoods can re-enter safely when the evacuation order is rescinded. No timeframe has been identified for initiating a staged re-entry process. A staged re-entry process provides for greater public safety and supports the residents with receiving important information that supports their re-entry and community recovery efforts.
Evacuated residents of the Blue Ridge area are strongly encouraged to call the Coconino Call Center at 928.213.2990 and provide their contact information. This is the best way for the County to directly communicate with people on any assessment or re-entry information. Without contact info, the County will not be able communicate specific, individual information directly to those affected individuals.
Damage assessments are underway now so that loss of homes can be communicated to those affected. The County is working with APS, propane suppliers and others to address existing hazardous conditions so that a safe staged re-entry process can be implemented.
