Hand pile burns planned Friday along 89A

1/21/2021 - 4:21 pm

The Coconino National Forest has planned several hand pile burns scheduled to start the morning of Friday, Jan. 22.

Roughly 10 acres just south of Pine Del will be treated over the course of a few hours.

No road closures are planned, but smoke is predicted to move northeast, and will likely be visible from Flagstaff and 89A corridors. Smoke is expected to dissipate within a few hours.

The Coconino NF plans to burn other piles throughout the coming days in different locations around Flagstaff. When those happen, we will update social media with information regarding the burns.
