The Coronado National Forest, Safford Ranger District in partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation will commence 2020 field operations on the Pinaleno Ecosystem Restoration Project on Monday, June 22.
The public will see increased traffic from Moonshine Creek/Cunningham Campground down the Swift Trail as log trucks transport decked timber from the mountain. Remaining operations will primarily occur in the Treasure Park and Snow Flat areas. Campground closures for Cunningham, Treasure Park and Snow Flat will be in effect until logging operations are completed.
Motorists are advised to use caution when travel on the Swift Trail with the increase in traffic. The logging trucks are oversized loads and may need more room to maneuver around curves than passenger cars and trucks.
