The Saddle Fire is burning on the Douglas Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest, and on Arizona State land. The incident was reported the afternoon of June 24th near Packsaddle Mountain. The fire is burning in grass and brush and was last estimated to be 5,900 acres and 20 percent contained. Two hundred fire personnel are currently assigned including 11 engines, 6 crews, water tenders, a bulldozer, 4 helicopters and miscellaneous overhead. Potential for thunderstorms and associated erratic winds will remain a concern over the next several days. No structures have been damaged or destroyed.
