On Tuesday, May 20, 2014, shortly before 8:00 p.m., the Tohono O’odham Nation’s Department of Public Safety received reports of a wildfire southwest of the village of Pan Tak. The Nation’s Fire Management responded to the call. There were no structures damaged, no evacuations, and no injuries were reported.
The fire is currently 0% contained and fire personnel are working to contain the fire perimeter. More than 200
acres have burned so far. The cause of the wildfire is still under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
