Tonto National Forest officials have issued a Telegraph Fire public safety closure order that took effect at 3 p.m. today. It will remain in effect until August 1, or until rescinded.
The closure order will protect public health and safety during firefighting and emergency operations.
All National Forest System lands, roads, and trails within the boundary of the closure are restricted to public access unless exempted under the closure order.
State Route 60, along with Forest Roads 231 and 310 are open; Forest Roads 2 and 349 are closed. National Forest System Trail 222 is closed from Picket Post Trailhead south to the forest boundary.
