Starting on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, fire specialists will move into the Christopher and Hunter Creek areas. They will burn 111 acres of vegetative debris piles along and south of Highway 260 from Christopher Creek Campground to Hunter Creek Estates. Smoke will be moderate to heavy at times on Highway 260 during burning operations. Please drive carefully in the area. Smoke will be visible in the area through the weekend.
Signs will be posted along roads that are likely to be affected by smoke. Motorists are urged to use caution while driving thru these areas and to slow down for the safety of firefighters and the public. Use caution when driving along Forest Service Road 291 and Hwy 260.
