Firefighters spent the day reinforcing the line on the north side of the Windy Fire.
The gate leading into the Badger and Ringtail loop and boat launches will be reopened to the public at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 11. Firefighters will continue to monitor the fire to make sure there are no hotspots.
The Forest asks for the public’s cooperation by staying out of the fire area. This will allow firefighters to safely work in the area, and allow recreationists to launch their boats at Badger and Ringtail loop.
