The Cameron Fire on the Alpine Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests was approximately 307 acres as of this afternoon and fully lined. The fire was detected on Saturday, May 3, about 2 miles south of Luna Lake on CR 2313.
Resources assigned to the incident include the Black Mesa Hotshots, four engines, one Department of Corrections crew, and one dozer. Crews completed a successful burnout and engines remained on scene throughout Saturday night. Air support is no longer being used.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
