Fire specialists from the Tonto National Forest (NF) will conduct prescribed fire treatments west of Hunter Creek and east of Camp Tontozona on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 17 and 18. This 200-acre treatment will include a broadcast burn and the vegetative debris pile burning.
During the day some smoke will impact Christopher Creek, Hunter Creek, R-C Boys Scout Camp, and State Highway 260. Overnight the smoke will impact Kohl’s Ranch and Camp Tontozona. Residual smoke may linger in these areas through Sunday, Nov. 23.
