Museum Fire "Go" - Evacuation Notice

The Coconino County Sheriff has issued an evacuation order effective at 6 p.m. until further notice for all persons living, working and accessing a home from Mount Elden Lookout Road. All residents east of Weatherford Road with access on Mount Elden Lookout Road are
included. This evacuation is to support burnout operations and to prevent the fire from coming into these neighborhoods.

Red Cross Shelter Remains Open in Flagstaff; Training Offered to Interested Volunteers

The American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter had 18 evacuees overnight in the Flagstaff shelter located at the Sinagua Middle School at 3950 E. Butler Ave.  The shelter is part of the integrated response to the Slide Fire and is being staffed by Red Cross workers from throughout Arizona.

Red Cross Shelter Open to Support Slide Fire Evacuees

The American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter is operating a shelter in Flagstaff at the Sinagua Middle School located at 3950 E. Butler Ave. 

The shelter is part of the integrated response to the Slide Fire located in the Oak Creek Canyon outside of Sedona. The shelter is being staffed by Red Cross workers from throughout Arizona.

There were 11 evacuees in the Red Cross shelter last night and more are registering throughout the day.  The Red Cross has a nurse at the shelter and the Salvation Army is providing three meals per day.
