The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is issuing a PM-10 Health Watch for Maricopa County, effective Thursday, September 21, 2017. This health watch is due to pollution levels expected to approach the federal health standard.

This health watch includes the following restrictions:
Open burning and wood burning fireplace activity is restricted in Maricopa County. This includes individuals and businesses which have burn permits for open burning.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has issued a same day Health Watch for today, June 1, and a High Pollution Advisory (HPA) for Thursday, June 2, for ozone in Maricopa County.

An Ozone Health Watch means that ozone levels are expected to near the federal health standard. Tomorrow, ozone levels around the Valley are expected to increase with highest ozone levels concentrating in north and northeast portions of the Valley.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has issued an ozone Health Watch for tomorrow, May 13, for areas in and bordering Maricopa County.

Stable weather conditions will remain over the region Friday; therefore, there will not be a High Pollution Advisory. However, ozone is expected to approach the federal health standard. By Saturday, a trough to the west will begin to move into the area causing ventilation to improve.
