The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has issued an ozone Health Watch for tomorrow, May 13, for areas in and bordering Maricopa County.
Stable weather conditions will remain over the region Friday; therefore, there will not be a High Pollution Advisory. However, ozone is expected to approach the federal health standard. By Saturday, a trough to the west will begin to move into the area causing ventilation to improve.
By Thursday, winds are expected to be strong enough to result in Valley-wide blowing dust. Similar to our last significantly windy day (Monday, April 25), a general haze is likely to be seen in the air.

Health Watch means the highest concentration of pollution may approach the federal health standard. Unusually sensitive people should consider reducing prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion during a health watch.
