Friday operations went as planned on the Fulton Fire. Crews completed black lining operations, from Highway 260 to east of the Visitor Center. Aerial ignitions were used to burn out resistant pockets within the fire. Crews observed excellent consumption of dead and down fuels with no tree torching and no canopy involvement. Smoke created less of an impact than anticipated and traffic was uninterrupted on Highway 260 with some delays. The fire is at two percent completion.
