The following information was received on June 28, 2014 but dated June 27, 2014:
The Oak Fire is approximately 5 percent contained and is estimated to be 8,630 acres. The fire is being managed for multiple objectives within a defined planning area mostly within the Galiuros wilderness area. The planning area includes Rattlesnake Canyon on the west and southwest sides, High Creek on the southeast side with the Forest boundary on the east and north sides.
