Nearly 44,000 people in 7 hours book appointments for state 24/7 vaccination site

In just seven hours today, nearly 44,000 Arizonans have made appointments to be vaccinated at the state’s first 24/7 COVID-19 vaccination site at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. 

Of those appointments, nearly 29,000 are for the site’s first week of operation.

Pandemic, wildfires, flooding and extreme heat? Yes, be prepared for all of them! As we practice physical distancing, wearing a mask and proper hand hygiene, we face daily reminders that emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere. Through these experiences, we must recognize the importance of being prepared for these and other potential emergencies.

High Pollution Advisory issued for ozone effective May 29, 2020 in the Phoenix area

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is issuing a High Pollution Advisory (HPA) for ozone effective May 29, 2020, in the Phoenix area. ADEQ recommends that people limit outdoor activity while the HPA is in effect, especially children and adults with respiratory problems.
