This is a quick and easy stomach filler and a healthy choice! Having tomatoes, green chilies, beans and chicken makes it a balanced meal. It has so many nutrients that one could survive indefinitely on the stuff ... plus, it has a shelf life of 1.5 years. Guaranteed to calm you down with 5 yums up!

Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 16-oz can "mild" chili starter
  • 1 14.5-oz can diced tomatoes & mild green chilies
  • 1 16-oz can of fully cooked chunk white chicken, drained
Directions:
  1. Combine all ingredients in a 2-3 quart pot. Stir.
  2. Cover and simmer 7-10 minutes.
  3. Great with tortilla chips! Makes five 1-cup servings.
Cooking Tips:

We used a camp stove, but cooking this recipe over an open camp fire would work too. If circumstances have it where you do not have any heat source, you can just mix and eat since everything is pre-cooked.
