"Have No Fear" Frito® Pie

Frito pie is a perfect blend of spicy and crunchy that tastes good even when you are not in a disaster. Trade out these ingredients for some of your favorites like green chilies, turkey chili and beans.

Recipe Ingredients: 
  • 1 15-oz can chili (without beans)
  • 1 15-oz can diced potatoes
  • 1/2 11-oz can Southwest blend corn (i.e., corn, red bell peppers, black beans)
  • 1/2 7-oz can El Pato® tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tsp. taco seasoning
  • 1 10-oz bag Fritos® corn chips
  • 1 15-oz jar chili con queso dip (optional)
Directions: 
  1. Empty the chili, corn, potatoes, tomato sauce, cumin and taco seasoning into a pot and cook over medium heat.
  2. Empty chili con queso into a pot and cook over low heat (optional).
  3. Stir occasionally until heated throughout.
  4. Prepared serving bowls by placing a couple handfuls of Fritos® in each bowl.
  5. When chili is warm, spoon over Fritos®. Add chili con queso (optional)
Cooking Tips: 

If you have the single serving bags of Fritos® corn chips, open the bag wide and scoop your chili right in there. You'll thank me at clean up time.
