Bradshaw Ranger District fire managers plan to continue fuels treatment in the Prescott Basin on Tuesday, January 9th through Friday, January 12th; weather conditions permitting. Benefits from these treatment help to reduce hazardous fuels adjacent to the wildland urban interface and increase ecosystem and community resilience.
Spruce Mountain Piles – Piles are located approximately 5 miles south and east of Prescott near the community of Groom Creek (T13N, R2W, S31).
The Safford Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest expects to conduct Phase 2 of the Paddy’s River Prescribed Fire as early as May 3, 2017. The project area consists of National Forest System lands in the eastern portion of the Galiuro Mountains in southeastern Arizona, and is included in the Coronado’s Galiuro FireScape Project.
