The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is issuing a dust High Pollution Advisory (HPA) for Thursday, April 12, 2018, for coarse particulate matter (PM10) in Maricopa County. This HPA is due to particle pollutant levels expected to accumulate enough to exceed the federal health standard for PM10.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has issued a PM-10 Health Watch for Maricopa County, effective Friday, February 9, 2018. This health watch is due to pollution levels expected to approach the federal health standard.

This health watch includes the following restrictions:
Open burning and wood burning fireplace activity is restricted in Maricopa County. This includes individuals and businesses which have burn permits for open burning.
