Fire staffs continue to manage the High Meadow Fire located approximately 55 miles southeast of St. George, Utah near Mt. Trumbull and Potato Valley on the BLM Arizona Strip. The lightning-caused High Meadow Fire started July 14, 2015 and is located in the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument portion of the BLM Arizona Strip.

As of today, the fire is 1,312 acres in size.  

The High Meadow wildfire is being managed to achieve both protection and natural resource objectives.

On July 15, 2015 fire staff from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Arizona Strip District responded to a smoke report near Mt. Trumbull and Potato Valley on the BLM Arizona Strip. The lightning-caused High Meadow Fire is located approximately 55 miles southeast of St. George, Utah. The fire is 208 acres in size and is in the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument portion of the BLM Arizona Strip.

On July 15, fire staff from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Arizona Strip District responded to a smoke report near Mt. Trumbull and Potato Valley on the BLM Arizona Strip. The lightning-caused High Meadow Fire is located approximately 55 miles southeast of St. George, Utah.

The fire is 19.5 acres in size and is in the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument portion of the BLM Arizona Strip.

Resources on the fire include 1 engine crew and incident command staff. The fire is burning in open Ponderosa pine and pinyon and juniper and burned actively overnight.
