2/08/2021 - 11:28 am
Payson Ranger District, Pile Burns, wildfire, Cherry Creek, Vosberg Mesa, Young, 54 road, 512 Road

Firefighters on the Payson Ranger District will be conducting pile burns at Vosberg Mesa starting Tuesday, Feb. 9-12, 2021.

While burn operations are planned for several days, the length of this operation depends on favorable weather and fuel conditions. The pile burns will be conducted near the 54 Road southeast of Young and consume approximately 500 acres of excess slash to reduce the threat of wildfires to the public and natural resources in the area.
