Coconino County Moves to Include Those 55 and Older in Phase 1b

During the ever-evolving COVID-19 response, Coconino County continues to remain nimble to best meet the needs of the community.

Today, in accordance with the updated Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) COVID-19 vaccination guidelines, Coconino County is expanding vaccinations to individuals aged 55 and older as part of the current Phase 1b. Also, ADHS informed Coconino County Health and Human Services (CCHHS) that it has been allocated 1,100 doses of the JANSSEN single dose COVID-19 vaccine, developed by the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson.

Transition to State-Operated Site to Keep Location Open, Continue Vaccinations

Governor Doug Ducey and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) today announced a state-operated COVID-19 vaccination site in the Phoenix metropolitan area’s East Valley, avoiding the closure of a successful mass vaccination site and further expanding the state’s nationally recognized model for speeding up vaccine administration.

The vaccination site at Chandler-Gilbert Community College will begin operating as a state-run location on Wednesday, March 3.

Gila County to host drive-thru vaccination event Feb. 20-21

The Gila County Health Department and Command Solutions 4, in partnership with the Arizona National Guard, are pleased to announce a mass drive-through vaccination event for northern Gila County scheduled for February 20-21. Our goal is to administer 2,000 COVID-19 Moderna vaccines to the residents of Gila County. This vaccination clinic is for Group 1A, Group 1B, and any 65 and older residents of Gila County.

Registration for nearly 12,000 COVID-19 vaccine appointments begins Tuesday, Feb. 16, for state site in Tucson

Arizonans will be able to register starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb .16, for nearly 12,000 appointments available at a state COVID-19 vaccination site at the University of Arizona in Tucson. 

The Arizona Department of Health Services, the university, and the Pima County Health Department are partnering to operate the site at the university’s mall area.

Coconino County moves to vaccinating all groups in Phase 1b

Coconino County and its healthcare vaccination partners are moving to vaccinating all groups in Phase 1b effective immediately. Individuals in Phase 1a and Priority Populations in Phase 1b continue to be eligible. All eligible populations are listed below:

Maricopa County to expand vaccination eligibility to adults 65 And older; Launches new data dashboard

With more than 44 percent of people 75 and older now having received at least one vaccine dose, Maricopa County is excited to expand vaccine eligibility to adults 65 and older in all vaccine locations starting Monday, February 15. This decision is in alignment with the federal pharmacy vaccine program scheduled to begin later this week, which will bring vaccine to 182 pharmacies in Maricopa County.

Governor Ducey Announces The University of Arizona to be first state vaccination site in southern Arizona

Governor Doug Ducey and the Arizona Department of Health Services today announced a partnership with the University of Arizona and the Pima County Health Department to operate a state vaccination site on the university’s mall area on central Tucson campus.

Coconino County Opens 1,100 COVID Vaccine Appointments on at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7

Coconino County will open an additional 1,100 COVID-19 vaccination appointments for a special extended-hours vaccination event Feb. 12 – 16 at the Fort Tuthill County Park vaccination site.

The County has been allocated these additional doses from the State of Arizona due to the high performance of Coconino County and partners at administering vaccine to the public.

Vaccination drive-thru event to be held in Globe Feb. 13 and 14

Gila County is pleased to announce that Mr. Todd Whitney and his team at Command Solutions 4 has partnered with the Gila County Health Department, City of Globe, Gila County Sheriff’s Office, Globe School District, and the Arizona National Guard to conduct a mass vaccination drive-through POD in Globe on February 13-14th.  This event will be for all Gila County residents of groups 1A, 1B and adults 65 and older to receive their 1st dose of Moderna vaccine.  Over the two-day period, our goal is to administer 2,000 COVID-19 vaccines to the residents of Gila County.
