Crews are responding to the 5-acre Hassell Fire, located southeast of Flagstaff near Fisher Point (GPS: 35°09'39.7"N 111°34'25.0"W).
Resources responding to the fire include four engines, one hand crew, air attack, one helicopter, one water tender, two dozers and miscellaneous overhead. Additional resources have been ordered.
The fire is moving at a moderate rate of spread through ponderosa pine and grass and is producing visible smoke.
The fire was reported at 2:56 p.m. and its cause is undetermined.
There are no closures associated with the Hassell Fire at this time, but forest visitors are asked to avoid the fire area and remain cognizant of firefighting efforts.
