The White Mountain Zone Type 3 Incident Management Team was ordered and will take command of the incident July 15. Local precipitation has been scattered with the onset of monsoonal moisture. This holds true as precipitation received in the fire area varies from light to moderate. Fire continues to spread in heavy fuels and Ponderosa Pine stands with grass understory in the Wallow Fire area from 2011 .
Operations: Fire resources have been working on fire control lines for containment strategies over the past few days and will continue today, while simultaneously considering firefighter safety first. Resources will be looking at the potential to conduct burn operations today and through the weekend to corral the fire. Moderate movement in all directions is expected.
Evacuations: No evacuations currently.
Weather: Thunderstorm activity is expected to continue in the general area, accompanied by potential lightning activity.
