The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has issued a READY status for residents near the Peacock Fire, which ignited earlier today in the Peacock Mountains, approximately 20 miles northeast of Kingman. The neighborhoods of Trap Springs Rd., Spring Valley Rd., Treeline Dr., and Pine Valley Dr. are advised to prepare for potential evacuation.
Due to the proximity to homes in the area, the following neighborhoods are being placed on READY status:

-Spring Valley Rd.
-Treeline Dr.
-Pine Valley Dr.

-Take steps now to prepare for potential threats.
-Make a family evacuation and communication plan that includes family phone numbers, out-of-town
contacts and family meeting locations.

and pet supplies, prescriptions, papers, personal needs and priceless items.
-Check with your neighbors, family, friends and elders to ensure they are READY.
