The Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs, Northern Arizona Type 3 Incident Management Team (IMT), and local agencies continue to respond to the Bravo Fire on Camp Navajo, located west of Flagstaff.
The fire acreage has dropped from the believed 1,400 to 960 acres due to more accurate mapping of the area upon clearage of smoke.
Details on the origin of the fire are still under investigation. Ground crews are working to hold and secure the line around the fire. Aerial resources are continuing to conduct bucket drops and scout for spot fires. Forward fire progression has been
stopped. Fire managers will continue with a full-suppression response. There are 196 personnel assigned to the fire. Resources include four Hotshot crews, six engines, two hand crews, three dozers, one water tender and multiple aerial resources including four helicopters and air attack.
Smoke impact has diminished significantly during the day, but smoke may settle into low-lying areas surrounding the fire overnight as temperatures drop. Camp Navajo remains closed to all non-essential personnel. The RV Park and all other Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) will remain closed until further notice.
There continues to be no immediate threats to assets, personnel, or critical infrastructure. The temporary flight restriction remains in place over the fire perimeter. Pilots and drone operations are asked to abide by the TFR for safety. If TFR incursions occur, firefighting air support operations will cease until airspace is clear.
