Update:

An unmanned aircraft system (UAS), also known as a “drone,” briefly impeded aerial operations on the Museum Fire yesterday. The UAS, reported in the southeast portion of the fire area, caused helicopter operations to stop and relocate. Operations were moved from the Flagstaff City Reservoir, north of the fire, to Schultz Tank where flights could safely resume.

Fire managers will be conducting slash pile burns Thursday (Nov. 29) and Friday (Nov. 30) near Clints Well and Flagstaff.

Mogollon Rim Ranger District firefighters are planning to burn slash piles both Thursday and Friday near the intersection of state Routes 87 and 260 southwest of Clints Well. Smoke may be noticeable from these machine piles as wind speed decreases. Smoke will settle during evening hours in the West Clear Creek Wilderness and impact low lying areas near the burn site.
