The Skunk Fire is 77% contained and has consumed 43,137 acres including fire growth and back burns.
Light rain contributed to some progress but not much has changed in fire activity. The fire continues in a north westerly direction along Nantac Rim towards Kidde Canyon through steep terrain and rocky outcrops. Fuel types are grass, juniper and pinion pine.
Fire is still emitting smoke from the interior with some single tree torching. Evening and early morning inversions are causing light smoke to linger in the valleys and drainages.
