Minimal growth on the Bryce Fire

Overnight, cooler temperatures and increased relative humidity levels helped keep fire activity minimal through Monday’s night shift. Two hotshot crews worked to hold, improve, and secure any uncontained line along the east flank of the fire. Last night engines patrolled across the fire’s perimeter ,including around the structures monitoring for any issues or concerns that could potentially threaten the line during Tuesday’s critical fire weather.

Bryce Fire Update

Summary: Fire activity moderated some overnight giving Sunday’s night shift the opportunity to reinforce existing control features in advance of Monday’s incoming critical fire weather.

The night shift of engines and hotshot crews focused on the northern flank of the fire, as well as east of River Road where nearly one mile of containment line was established by firing operations the night before.
