Cody fire remains at 90 percent containment

As the local unit prepares to assume command, continued community support will remain vital to the ongoing success of the dedicated firefighters, crews, and personnel working to reach full containment.

Highlights: Thanks to the tireless efforts and strong collaboration among incident crews and partner agencies, the Cody Fire is now 90% contained. Suppression repair efforts are underway to restore areas impacted by firefighting operations and prepare the landscape for long-term recovery.

Cody Fire containment increases significantly

Containment on the Cody Fire climbed significantly on Sunday, rising from 47% to 83%, a testament to the continued hard work and coordination of firefighting resources across the incident.

As a reminder, fire restrictions remain in effect. Residents and visitors are urged to stay informed on current closures and official updates to ensure public and firefighter safety during the ongoing response efforts.

Firefighters make significant progress on Cody Fire containment

Thanks to the hard work of firefighters on the Cody Fire, containment increased significantly on Saturday from 5% to 47%. A community meeting is scheduled for tonight, Sunday, May 25, beginning promptly at 4 p.m. at Biosphere 2 (32500 S. Biosphere Road, Oracle, AZ 85623). This meeting will be livestreamed on the Coronado Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CoronadoNF; ASL and CART captioning will be provided.
