It was a successful day for crews on the Simmons Fire as they were able to secure line around sections of the fire and now have it 51% contained. The fire remains at 351 acres. Today’s objectves for fire resources included achieving fire control and reducing and mitigating impacts to private property and infrastructure. With those objectives met, fire overhead requested power to be fully restored to north Kearny residents.
