Overnight precipitation assisted crews in stopping the Robles Fire’s forward progress. Crews have that fire 75% contained at 3,000 acres. Saturday, crews worked along Robles Road improving line to be certain it will hold in the wind. Outflow winds associated with thunderstorms have been problematic over the last few days. Engines are present within the communities, patrolling and monitoring in between structures to make sure no heat remains. At approximately 4:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023, resources from Prescott National Forest responded to a smoke report on the south side of Mingus Mountain, on the Verde Ranger District. Upon arrival the Grapevine Fire was estimated to be 2 acres. Due to the time-of-day and monsoon activity, firefighters monitored the fire into the evening. Today firefighters returned and started scouting for containment features and initiated minimal suppression tactics on the fire. Crews are responding to the 5-acre Hassell Fire, located southeast of Flagstaff near Fisher Point (GPS: 35°09'39.7"N 111°34'25.0"W).
Resources responding to the fire include four engines, one hand crew, air attack, one helicopter, one water tender, two dozers and miscellaneous overhead. Additional resources have been ordered.

Crews will continue to secure and mop-up around the perimeter and will look to improve existing fire control lines. Aerial resources will be used to cool remaining heat sources. The containment percentage has been modified based on better mapping.
