Highlights: The Central West Zone Type 3 Incident Management Team assumed command of the Boulder View Fire from Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management and the Tonto National Forest at 6 p.m. Friday.

Mohave County is implementing outdoor fire and permissible consumer fireworks use prohibitions in the unincorporated areas of the county, effective 4:00 p.m., June 28, 2024, due to current and continued hazardous fire risk conditions within Mohave County that include high temperatures, dry conditions (low relative humidity levels), low fuel moisture levels and sustained winds that can include gusts.

The Boulder View Fire stayed very active overnight, showing extreme fire behavior with 20 to 40-foot flame lengths in some areas.

For the safety of the public and firefighters, fire operations made the decision to place residences in that area of the fire into a “GO,” evacuate and “SET,” pre-evacuate status. Those statuses remain in effect at this time and the Red Cross has set up a shelter at the Cactus Shadows High School: 5802 E. Dove Valley Road, Scottsdale, AZ. Approximately 60 residences are impacted by the fire.
