The 377 Fire is 70 percent contained at 4,514 acres in size. The fire was human-caused. 63 personnel are assigned to the 377 Fire.

Summary: The 377 Fire was first reported at 1:26 p.m. Monday afternoon as 15 individual ignitions along a 21 mile stretch of state highway.  The spot fires ignited within forested land quickly grew together and consumed 4,514 acres of pinyon-juniper vegetation before sundown on Monday. A robust initial attack resulted in a halt of forward fire progression by Monday evening. 

The Baldwin Fire is a lightning-caused fire burning about 4 to 5 miles south of Heber and Overgaard in the Rodeo-Chediski burn scar.

The Baldwin Fire is 100 percent contained.

Fire managers made the decision to confine this lightning-caused fire to accomplish multiple objectives. The fire has met all its objectives; however, smoke may be visible within the interior of the fire until completely extinguished by monsoonal rains.

The Baldwin Fire is not a threat to the communities of Heber and Overgaard. Crews are blacklining around the perimeter of the fire as weather permits. Due to this activity, increased smoke may be visible from the community at times, and smoke may drift into Heber, Overgaard, Forest Lakes, Highway 260 and surrounding areas throughout the weekend. Fire is burning in the Rodeo/Chediski burn area. Black line operations were completed yesterday and fire managers are monitoring the fire to use it for potential benefit to the landscape.

The Baldwin Fire is approximately 218 acres exhibiting minimal creeping, smoldering and backing in short grasses and medium logging slash. Fire is burning in the Rodeo/Chediski burn area. The Baldwin Fire is not a threat to the communities of Heber and Overgaard. However, smoke from the fire may be visible from the community at times, and smoke may drift into Heber, Overgaard, Forest Lakes, Highway 260 and surrounding areas throughout the weekend. The fire is bound by major Forest Service system roads at this time.

The Baldwin Fire is burning in the Rodeo/Chediski burn area, 3 miles south of Heber-Overgaard.  The fire is approximately 120 acres and 10 percent contained.

Fire Area received significant moisture. The Baldwin Fire is not a threat to the communities of Heber and Overgaard. However, smoke from the fire may be visible from the community at times, and smoke may drift into Heber, Overgaard, Forest Lakes, Highway 260 and surrounding areas throughout the weekend. The fire is bound by major Forest Service system roads at this time.

The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Lakeside Ranger District will continue the prescribed burn within the McCleve Unit of the Rodeo-Chediski Fire area March 21 through March 25, weather dependent.

The 2,700 acres McCleve Unit is located three miles south of Pinedale on Forest Service Road (FR) 130. The prescribed fire block is surrounded by FR 130, 263, and 300.
